Helicon West

Audience sitting during a reading

Helicon West is a free, uncensored open-mic readings series that aims to expose Cache Valley to the literary arts by giving creative writers a platform to read their work. Meetings usually contain a mix of open-mic portions and featured writers, poets, or spoken word artists who are invited to read and discuss their work. Session themes vary and include a handful of annual series, such as the USU Creative Writing Contest readings and a slam poetry team sponsored by USU's Bull Pen writing club. Writers from all skill levels are welcome to join.
