Helicon West Presents Summer Open Mic
Summer Open Mic Presented by Helicon WestJo on May 23, June 27, July 25, & August 22 in the Logan Library community room A at 7 pm. Helicon West is a lively performance venue for the written word.
Undergraduate Dakota Mecham Wins Research Award
English Teaching emphasis Dakota Mecham won the Individual Research prize (first place) at the Student Research Symposium in Vernal, Utah, for her presentation titled, “Tabula Rasa and Frankenstein’s Monster.”
Undergraduate Preston Waddoups Named Valedictorian
Preston Waddoups was named this year’s CHaSS valedictorian. Preston double-majored in English (Literature Emphasis) and Philosophy. During his time as an English major, Preston gave nine conference presentations over several years.

Technical Communication and Rhetoric
Develop your professional communication skills with an emphasis on current techniques relating to technology.
Folklore
Learn to analyze folktales, legends, jokes, personal experience narratives, proverbs, superstitions, festivals and celebrations, yard art, dance, and costume.
Creative Writing (MA/MS in English)
The MA/MS in English with a Specialization in Creative Writing allows students to do advanced work in poetry, fiction, or creative nonfiction.
Literature, Culture, and Composition (MA/MS in English)
Work in a cohort to examine and analyze literature, cultural expression, and rhetorical argumentation's effect on the world.
MA/MS in Folklore Studies
