Biography
Dr. Jared S. Colton is the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Affairs for the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and an associate professor of technical communication and rhetoric in the Department of English at Utah State University. His research addresses the intersections of rhetorical theory and ethics within technical communication and related fields, from concerns of pedagogy to digital media. His research and teaching investigates how classical and contemporary ethical frameworks can inform the practice and critique of communication in digital media and accessibility technologies. He has work published in Rhetoric Review, Journal of Business and Technical Communication, Technical Communication Quarterly, and other journals. His co-authored book Rhetoric, Technology, and the Virtues was published with the University Press of Colorado/Utah State University Press..
