CHaSS Research Workshop: Faculty Book Proposal Charrette

Workshop/Training

This CHaSS Research Workshop will take the format of a charrette (a hands-on, collaborative peer-review workshop) specifically focused on in-progress book proposals. Participation in the workshop is by application and limited to 12 CHaSS faculty (at any rank or campus), including lecturers and post-docs. Preference, however, will be given to early career scholars and those soon seeking promotion. Participation can also happen via Zoom.

Documentary Screening: Screaming Queens

Join us for a public screening and Q&A on Dr. Susan Stryker’s documentary, Screaming Queens: The Riot at Compton’s Cafeteria (2005). We will watch this critically and academically acclaimed documentary and engage in a meaningful discussion with Dr. Stryker on the documentary, its making, and the future of LGBTQIA+ media and documentaries.
