CHaSS welcomes Ara Serjoie to Dean's Advancement Board

Ara Serjoie is the newest member of the Dean’s Advancement Board. Now a resident of Greensboro, N.C., he earned a CHaSS Liberal Arts degree with a minor in Philosophy in 1998.

Serjoie has held fundraising leadership positions at five higher education institutions over 20 years and now serves as vice president for advancement at Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C.

Before moving to that position in 2016, he served concurrently as vice president of university advancement at California State University East Bay and as president of the Cal State East Bay Educational Foundation.

Serjoie’s career is marked by continuous service. He’s served as director of development and alumnae relations for the Girl Scouts of Utah, as well as director of organizational advancement for the Utah Diabetes Center at the University of Utah. He was part of a team that raised over $90 million for the College of Applied Science and Technology at Weber State University.
