Study languages in their native contexts and gain greater understanding of the ways that language influences populations and cultures.
People connect to one another and get things done through language. When minoring in linguistics, students will learn what language is, how it works, and how to learn and teach it. With courses ranging from language’s role in religion to second language acquisition, students will gain an appreciation of language and the societies they come from.
By studying language, graduates of this program will leave ready to seek employment as social researchers, language data analysts, and accent coaches.
