Overview

As a Chinese major, you will take many courses on Chinese culture, literature, music, and translation with an emphasis on the Mandarin Chinese language. These courses will help you become a successful member of the global community by developing your language proficiency and cultivating cultural knowledge.

Career Application

Mandarin Chinese is the largest language in the world, so a degree in Chinese will allow graduates to seek employment on a global scale. Graduates of this program can pursue many career options including interpretation, government translation, foreign intelligence, language teaching, banking/finance, and more.
