Researcher of the Year

The faculty Researcher of the Year award is given annually to an individual from the college who has completed the most outstanding research within the previous three years. The Vice President for Research sponsors a university award to recognize the University Researcher of the Year from among the college nominees. 

Recognized at the CHaSS Awards Ceremony as well as recognized during Research Week by the Vice President for Research. 

Nomination materials:

  • A letter of nomination from the department head or designee, no more than two single-spaced pages. The letter should be a summary of the nominee’s relevant accomplishments, with particular attention to such issues as the impact of his or her contributions through research or creative activities, evidence of originality and creativity, and probable long-range significance of the work.
  • A three-page narrative that demonstrates the candidate’s qualifications for the award
  • Abbreviated CV related to the award’s criteria

Nominations are due December 15 to the CHaSS Deans Office (338 OM) or via email to chass@usu.edu.
