Matt Anderson

Matt Anderson is a sixth generation Utahn, born and raised in Bountiful, Utah. He attended Utah State University where he served in student government, received the University’s coveted Bill E. Robins Award, and earned a B.S. and M.S. in Political Science. Following his time at Utah State, Matt directed the Sutherland Institute’s Coalition for Self-Government in the West, served as Senator Romney’s Northern Utah Director and was the Acting/Deputy Director for the Utah Office of Energy Development.

Currently, Matt works for Intermountain Health as the Community Relationships Manager where he oversees Intermountain's outreach activities in Utah and Idaho to non-profits, local and state governments, businesses, community organizations, and other partners. Matt also founded and is the principal of Conifer Consulting and Communications LLC - a consulting, communications, and lobbying firm specializing in agriculture, natural resources, energy, and environmental policy issues. Matt is an active member of his community - serving as a CAPSA Board Member, Director of the Utah Sportsmen’s Caucus and External Advisory Committee Member of Utah State University's Institute of Land, Water, and Air. He volunteers with several conservation organizations and actively participates in local and state politics. When not on the job, you are likely to find him fly-fishing in Utah’s Bear River Range.
