Alek Nelson is the Director of Marketing and Media at the Cache Valley Center for the Arts, the non-profit that oversees the Ellen Eccles Theatre, the Bullen Center, and Thatcher-Young Mansion in downtown Logan. Originally from American Fork, UT, Alek came to Cache Valley in 2017 to attend Utah State and graduated this spring with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and public relations, with minors in computer science, music, and yoga. While at USU, he was heavily involved with Student Media, working as the Utah Statesman managing editor for a year and a half.During college, he also interned at KSL in Salt Lake City and was a Peak Summer Research Fellow in 2020. He now lives in Logan and hopes to attend graduate school in the future.
