Assessment
General Education Assessment
As General Education courses (CL1 and CL2), English 1010 and English 2010 are assessed in a four-year cycle. The General Education Committee selects one criterion from the CL1 and CL2 Learning Outcomes Rubrics to assess each year. Instructors select one assignment in the first seven weeks of the semester and another assignment in the last eight weeks to assess. The General Education Committee uses these assignments along with reflective questions in the course evaluation to determine student progress.
For questions about how the General Education Assessment is integrated into English 1010 and English 2010 courses, please email the Director of Composition.
