Zhen Li

Biography

Zhen grew up in Tianjin, China, and came to the United States in 2012 to study in the Counseling Psychology program at BYU. Upon receiving her degree, she started working as a psychologist and finds it very fulfilling. Her own experiences studying and living in a foreign country deepened her understanding of herself as a cultural being and made her appreciate cross-cultural connections even more. Zhen believes in lifelong learning. She took Japanese classes at BYU and went on an internship teaching English to Japanese students in Fukuoka, Japan. She is currently learning to play the piano. She dreams of sharing her culture and language with the rest of the world. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, cooking, yoga, reading, traveling, and music.
