The Sylvan Eugene Needham, III Study Abroad Scholarship supports language major and minor students in the Department of World Languages & Cultures who plan to study abroad.
Upon its establishment, this scholarship shall serve as a lasting tribute to Sylvan Eugene Needham, III by supporting students in undertaking a study abroad program.
- Pursuing a major or minor in one of the following:
- Language other than English
- Global Communications
- Similar degree program that involves the study of other cultures
- A junior, senior or graduate student
- Undertaking a USU-sponsored or independent study abroad program
