Four USU Students Join the Japanese National Honor Society

Four graduating students studying Japanese at Utah State University have been inducted into the Japanese National Honor Society – College Chapter. These students are:

  • Sarah Lichtenberg
  • Kevin Shelton
  • Mark Kindred
  • Jordan Brandt 

The Japanese National Honor Society is an organization which “recognizes and encourages scholastic achievement and excellence in the study of the Japanese language.” In order to become a member, students must have completed 5 semesters of Japanese language study at the undergraduate level, have an overall GPA of 3.0 and a GPA of 3.5 in their Japanese language courses.

Students were presented with certificates by Atsuko Neely, the Japanese faculty adviser, and received unique red and white cords to wear during their graduation ceremonies.

The College of Humanities and Social Sciences congratulates these students for all of their hard work in this program. おめでとうございます!
