Biography

Kim is originally from Hagerman, Idaho. He became fascinated with language and culture during a stay in Guatemala, and in 1997 he received a Masters Degree in English with a specialization in Teaching English as a Second Language at Bowling Green State University, Ohio.  He has since taught at intensive English programs in Southern Illinois State University, the University of Alabama, and Kansai Gaidai University (Japan).  He has also taught a variety of related courses, including graduate and undergraduate language support, community English, and Global Studies.   Kim's areas of professional interest are in using educational technology tools to increase student motivation and using hypotheticals to encourage creativity and critical thinking skills.
