Undergraduates Karli Kallas and Maren Archibald Present Research

On Friday, February 16th, two Technical Communication and Rhetoric students, Karli Kallas and Maren Archibald, presented their research at the Utah Conference of Undergraduate Research. Karli’s research presentation applied care ethics to understand the challenges of Web3 and decentralized internet. Maren’s research presentation analyzed multifactor authentication through the lens of Foucauldian ethics, specifically looking at how surveillance impacts us. Each of these research projects came from Associate Professor Jared Colton’s course on Technology and Activism.

Karli and Maren will also be presenting their research at the National Conference of Undergraduate Research in Long Beach, California, April 8-10.
