English Students Present at Sigma Tau Delta

Students present on Zoom

The national convention for Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honor Society, was held online this year, on March 25th to 27th.  Samantha Bradley, Erika Morrill, and Alise Williams Condie represented our two USU Sigma chapters: Rho Tau for the Logan campus, and Alpha Chi Lambda for the Statewide Campuses.  The students presented a roundtable discussion, "Voices in the Wilderness: Rough Beauty and Women's Nature Writing," which examined the tradition of women's nature writing by focusing on the work of Cheryl Strayed, Karen Auvinen, and Terry Tempest Williams. Dr. Michaelann Nelson moderated the discussion, which was session was well-attended.  Congratulations to our students to presenting their work at this national convention!
