USU Emeritus Professor Wins Western Literature Association Creative Writing Award

Melody Graulich

On October 21st, Melody Graulich won the Western Literature Association’s Creative Writing Award for her story, “The Magpie.” Melody is a Professor Emeritus of English and American Studies. The Western Literature Association and its literary journal are one of the leaders in the study of the North American West, defined broadly to include western Canada and northern Mexico. The Creative Writing Award goes out annually to the best creative writing submission from the conference.
