Dale Z. Kirby earned an undergraduate degree in German in 1963. Here he reflects on a rather "explosive" campus event he helped to pull off in 1961.
Joyce Kinkead, Distinguished Professor of English, was invited to contribute the Afterword to The Naylor Report on Undergraduate Research in Writing Studies, just released by Parlor Press (2020). Growing out of the 20th anniversary of the Boyer Report, Reinventing Undergraduate Education, as well as the annual symposium for undergraduate researchers hosted in York, Pennsylvania, the book offers scholarly research and practical advice for defining the state of undergraduate research in writing studies and advocating for its use. Kinkead served as plenary speaker at the 2015 Naylor Workshop that includes undergraduates from across the nation learning how to conduct research in writing studies.
Information about the edited book by Dominic DelliCarpini, Jenn Fishman, and Jane Greer is available at Parlor Press.
