USU’s Center for Intersectional Gender Studies and Research awarded English Department faculty and a graduate student for their commitment to intersectional research and practice. Technical Communication and Rhetoric PhD student Hannah Stevens was named in the inaugural cohort of Graduate Fellows for 2021-2022. The Graduate Fellows Program is designed to support outstanding graduate student leaders at USU, and the CIGSR hopes to support an equitable and inclusive climate for students across USU’s statewide campusesthrough their fellowships. Faculty members Beth Buyserie, Cree Taylor, Adena Rivera-Dundas, and Ehsan Estiriwere recognized for their commitment to the values of intersectional research and teaching through their work in and out of the classroom, and the center awarded each of them fellowships for 2021-2022.
