Hannah Stevens, PhD candidate in Technical Communication and Rhetoric, was recently honored as one of two winners of the Special Interest Group on Design of Communication (SIGDOC) Career Advancement Research Grant for 2023. On awarding the grant, which is aimed at supporting early career academics, SIGDOC stated, “We feel confident that this project will do great work for our field and we are delighted to fund it.” 

Hannah brings to her work a background in feminist analysis that is layered onto her work with public policy along with considerations of race, class, disability, and other factors.
