Bombs Bursting in Air: CHaSS Alum Recounts an Aggie Firework Fable
Dale Z. Kirby earned an undergraduate degree in German in 1963. Here he reflects on a rather "explosive" campus event he helped to pull off in 1961.
USU alumna Andrea Bresee co-authored an article in a special issue of Pedagogy: Critical Approaches to Teaching Literature, Language, Composition, and Culture, an innovative journal that offers a vibrant discourse around teaching in English studies. Focused on undergraduate research, this issue featured a select number of undergraduate authors. In her article, Andrea describes “The Trajectory of an Undergraduate Researcher,” moving from novice to expert through multiple research experiences that began in English 3470. Andrea’s co-author is Joyce Kinkead, Distinguished Professor of English.
While at USU, Andrea engaged in three separate research studies, served as an Undergraduate Teaching Fellow (UTF), and presented at three symposia and conferences. Andrea teaches seventh-grade English at Space Center Intermediate School in League City, Texas. She was recently accepted to University of Houston’s Masters in Higher Education program.
