Using Critical Race and Black Feminist Theory as his theoretical lenses, his research aims to create dedicated spaces and equitable opportunities for marginalized people in professional and academic settings.

Nicole Cracroft contributes to the English Department through her skillful handling of many office responsibilities with a friendly and helpful attitude toward staff, faculty, and students alike. She brings equal devotion, humor, caring, and cleverness to USU and to her three children, numerous pets, and many plants; fighting social injustice, dancing with her cat, being a loving, supportive friend, and saving all the animals she possibly can.
Kim Hales has been teaching for USU in the Uintah Basin since 2012. She began as an adjunct and is now a full-time faculty lecturer. Kim specializes in composition, teaching both concurrent enrollment and department classes, and was just accepted into a Ph.D. program in English.
