Mary Ellen Greenwood

Biography

I’ve been an educator for over two decades and have worked with students ranging from elementary to college age. Teaching college composition classes, however, is my favorite work. I have both a BA and an MS, and I’m in the final stages of earning a Ph.D. in Education with a specialization in literacy curriculum and instruction. My areas of research include pop culture and digital literacy, transactional reading theory, critical pedagogy, and self-efficacy in first-year composition students.
