Patricia  Gantt

Biography

A member of the faculty from 1996-2016, Dr. Gantt taught courses in English Education and folklore, particularly material culture. Her books include two collections co-edited with Lynn Langer Meeks, Teaching Ideas for 7-12 English Language Arts: What Really Works and Teaching Ideas for University English: What Really Works. Appalachia in the Classroom:  Teaching the Region was edited by Theresa L. Burriss and Patricia M. Gantt while she was co-editor with Paul Crumbley on Body My House: The Life and Work of May Swenson.
