Biography

Alan Blackstock (Ph.D., University of New Mexico) is Professor of English at Utah State University. He teaches courses in composition and literature, including summer courses that include raft trips and visits to the Utah Shakespeare Festival. He recently completed a Fulbright teaching and research grant in Ecuador and has published several books and articles on British and American literature as well as on the pedagogy of writing. His books include Willa Cather and E. M. Forster: Transatlantic Transcendence (2020), The Rhetoric of Redemption: Chesterton, Ethical Criticism, and the Common Man (2012), and A Green River Reader (2005).
