Learning Objectives: PhD in Technical Communication and Rhetoric

As a result of successfully completing the requirements of the PhD degree, students shall:

• Demonstrate mastery of major theoretical and rhetorical contributions to the field by or in graduate seminar papers and presentations, the comprehensive exam, and the dissertation
• Demonstrate field-expertise skills in technology and design by or in graduate seminar projects and examinations and/or dissertation.
• Demonstrate a variety of pedagogical skills and defend pedagogical practices.
• Develop and apply a research method(s) in research projects and dissertation.
