On Thursday, December 7, 2017, Dean Joseph Ward announced six faculty members in the College of Humanities and Social Sciences will be awarded the honorary title of Distinguished Professor. The honor is a way to recognize that these faculty have excelled in performing every area of a faculty member's responsibility: teaching, research, and service. Among the distinguished faculty is anthropology's own Dr. Patricia Lambert. Dr. Lambert is a biological anthropologist, specifically a bioarchaeologist, who joined the USU faculty in 1996. She directed the anthropology program from 2004-2009, and from 2010-2016 served as associate dean of Research and Graduate Studies for CHaSS.
Dr. Lambert teaches biological anthropology. Her research interests are prehistoric warfare, North American prehistory, paleopathology, bioarchaeology, and Peruvian prehistory.
