Biography

Dr. Montague is a sociocultural anthropologist dedicated to sharing the broad applicability of anthropological approaches to various social issues through teaching and advocacy. As director of the Applied Anthropology Practicum Program at USU, she mentors students in applying skills gained in their anthropology degree program to internships and projects to prepare them for their futures. Her research and teaching focus on a range of topics including: globalization, economic development, colonialism, migration and mobility studies, cultural heritage, place and belonging, race and racism, gender and sexuality, refugees, nomadism, tourists and tourism.
