Mission

The mission of the USU Community-Engaged Scholar Network is to bridge gaps and build partnerships among USU experts and Utah community organizations and representatives to develop informed solutions that address Utah's most pressing issues. 

Vision

University scholars and communities work in tandem to address community-identified needs and challenges across Utah.

Purpose

In collaboration, the USU Transforming Communities Institute (TCI) and USU Center for Community Engagement (CCE) have developed a multidisciplinary, USU Community-Engaged Scholar Network (CESN) that is designed to connect USU Scholars (faculty, staff, and students) with communities throughout Utah to build knowledge and create solutions to community-indentified needs. Community-engaged scholarship is action-oriented, strengths-based, solution-focused, and responsive to needs and views expressed by the community.
