Ethics Slam
Interact with your community and talk about critical issues of our day in ways that demonstrate compassion and active listening. The Ethics Slam is held in community venues, such as restaurants or coffee shops, to foster a sense of informality so that community members can hear and interact with one another. Unlike traditional debate formats, these events are meant to serve as community conversations, giving everyone a chance to have their voice heard.
These slams take place two to three times a semester and normally include topics that participants are already thinking about, such as gun control reform, shaming, peaceful protests, climate change, free speech and the internet, identity politics, and more. Anyone is welcome and encouraged to participate.
