If you would like to pursue a graduate degree, visit gradschool.usu.edu.
- Apply for an undergraduate program and
- Be admitted to the IELI Pathway Program, which leads to taking classes toward your undergraduate degree program, during or after the IELI Pathway Program.
- Depending on your level of English proficiency, you may be able to take some IELI classes and some courses in your undergraduate program at the same time.
- You must pay the application fee before your application will be processed.
- Submit your application by the deadline shown on the schedule page. Application and testing fees are nonrefundable.
- If you have any questions about the status of your application after you have filled out the application, email the Office of Global Engagement. (usuintl@usu.edu)

If you know you would like to get a degree from USU after you complete English study in IELI you should complete an undergraduate or graduate application.
If you would like to improve your English:
- Apply for the IELI program without applying for a degree program.
- If you later decide that you would like to stay and pursue a degree at USU, you will need to submit an application and pay the application fee for the undergraduate or graduate degree program.
- You must pay the application fee before your application will be processed.
