The associate’s degree in Criminal Justice gives students an educational background of the vast criminal justice system. Classes are structured around the fundamentals of criminal law and investigations, forensic science, the courts, corrections, and the juvenile justice system. Students learn the methods used for discovery, investigation, and apprehension of those committing crimes, the current practices of the courts, through the punishment phase involving corrections using theory and hands-on methodology. The associate’s degree in Criminal Justice requires a total of 60 credit hours. In addition to being earnable through in-person and video broadcast instruction, this degree can also be earned completely through online instruction.
