WAB Warming Center – Attitudes Toward the Warming Center Solution
Drs. Jayme Walters and Jess Lucero, alongside alumni, Nicole Burnard (BSW ’22, MSW ’23) designed, fielded, and analyzed results from a community-based study on the public’s attitudes toward developing a warming center to address emergency shelter gaps in the Bear River Region’s homeless service system. The survey provided important assessment data for the planning phase on the warming center which officially opened in December, 2022.
