Co-sponsored by Wheatley and the Religious Studies program, this award covers the cost of travel, lodging, registration fee, and food to attend the Wheatley International Affairs Conference in Provo Canyon. Any student of outstanding academic merit who has an interest in religion and international affairs is eligible.
Students are nominated by faculty, but students may indicate their interest to a faculty member. Lodging and food are sponsored by Wheatley, while travel and registration are sponsored by the Religious Studies Program.
The fellowship offers in-state tuition and a $10,000 stipend for one year of graduate study, renewable for a second year depending on the availability of funding and the student’s performance. The successful candidate will work as a research assistant for Ravi M. Gupta, Charles Redd Chair of Religious Studies, while pursuing a Master’s degree in History at USU. Interested applicants should contact Prof. Gupta to discuss their interest.
