Guadalupe Marquez-Velarde has been elected as Council Member of the American Sociological Association Racial and Ethnic Minorities Section for a 3-year term. During her term, she will chair the Blackwell Grad Student Paper Award Committee (2021-2022), the Cox Article Award Committee (2022-2023), and the Founder's Award Committee (2023-2024).
