USU Sociology's Courtney Flint appointed to national committee

Courtney Flint has been appointed a member of the committee on Advancing a Systems Approach to Studying the Earth: A Strategy for the National Science Foundation by the National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM).

The role of the committee is to develop a compelling vision for a systems approach to studying the Earth and identify facilites, infrastructure, coordinating mechanisms, computing, and workforce development needed to support that vision.

Members of the committee were selected for their scientific expertise, as well as their experiences working in integrated research and in taking a systems approach to Earth science.
