Study Nooks

Description

Conversation is critical to learning a foreign language, and students should feel empowered to use their language skills outside the classroom. These small study nooks give students the space to both study and practice conversation while spending time in the central hub for language and culture on campus.

Location

These nooks are located throughout the building and range in size from small outcrops to large inset benches or tables.

Amenities

Furnished with booth seating and small tables, these hallway cutouts provide quiet yet energetic work environments for students. The design encourages interaction with those sitting with you as well as those walking by. Students can use these areas to study, have casual conversations, and relax. 

Get Involved

This project will be a manifestation of support from all parts of the community, from state-level funding to individuals wanting to help empower students by whatever means they can. Even small gifts can make a big difference. We encourage any and all to get involved with the creation of this wonderful building.
