Description
Programs in World Languages and Cultures are currently spread across several areas of campus. Faculty members teaching the same subject may have offices on separate floors of Old Main or even in entirely different buildings. This new center puts faculty and graduate instructor office spaces near one another to create a cohesive, collaborative environment. Instructors will be able to more clearly and easily communicate with other faculty and students in the same building where learning takes place, opening the door to more unified experiences for all members of the department.
Room Details
Location
Faculty offices flank the building’s interior hallways for easy access but are distanced from noisy, high-traffic areas. The H-shaped hallways allow faculty to travel between offices and nearby conference rooms.
Amenities
CHaSS faculty use office spaces to prepare for classes, meet with students, conduct virtual meetings, and actively work on research. And teaching and research is enhanced through collaboration, making it important to bring faculty together in a unified space.
- 28 offices (Level 1)
- 26 offices (Level 2)
- Used by faculty and graduate instructors
