Starting March 6, 2023, a section of Champ Drive will be closed until August 2023. The road will be closed in order to start preparations for the construction of a new building on the Quad.

A memorial gift from the O.C. Tanner Company, in honor of Carolyn Tanner Irish, has been given in support of the Mehdi Heravi Global Teaching and Learning Center to create a pavilion in the center that overlooks USU's historic Quad.
