Biography
PhD, U.S. History, University of California, Los Angeles, 1990 MA, U.S. History, University of Utah, 1980 BA, History, University of Utah, 1977 Susan Rhoades Neel specialized in environmental history and modern U.S. history. Dr. Neel taught from the USU Eastern campus in Price. Her courses on environmental history, the history of America in the 1960s, and women and gender in American history were broadcast to all USU campuses. Dr. Neel's latest research focused on the history of Utah's national parks and monuments. She is co-author of Mapping the Four Corners: Narrating the Hayden Survey of 1875 (University of Oklahoma Press, 2016).
