Dr. Sur's publications include Entering the Way of the Great Vehicle: Dzogchen as the Culmination of the Mahāyāna (2017). He is presently working on two projects: a study of the rise of scholasticism and sectarian identity in eleventh century Tibet; and a study of Tibet's tantric philosophy, especially the use of normative Indian epistemology (pramāṇa) in the service of validating the visionary experiences of advanced contemplative and tantric practices.
