Better Together Interfaith Ally Training

The Better Together Interfaith Ally Training Program is a 3 hour stand-alone training that builds capacity for interfaith cooperation and creates a more inclusive and welcoming campus for all. This training was developed by Professor Bonnie Glass-Coffin for the USU Interfaith Initiative. It has already been completed by more than 400 USU students, faculty, administrators, and professional staff. Participation in this capacity-building training will give you both the knowledge and the practice you need to become an effective interfaith ally on campus. This experiential training will:

  • Introduce our campus-climate and provide what you need to know to create a welcoming environment for all
  • Provide tools for sharing your beliefs and values while learning to engage respectfully with those who are different
  • Discuss the obstacles and challenges that must be overcome to build positive relationships across "faith-divides"
  • Build a stronger sense of community among participants and contribute to campus transformation in positive ways

If you and any other members of your department, residence hall, or administrative unit are interested in participating in a Better Together Training Program, please email Professor Glass-Coffin to schedule.
