Opportunity: If you choose to donate at the “Charter Donor” level of $1000 or more, you will receive an invitation to the Swenson Charter Donor Luncheon to be held prior to the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.
From Dean Joseph P. Ward, College of Humanities and Social Sciences:
“We are very proud to have May Swenson as a graduate of what is now the College of Humanities and Social Sciences, and I want to say we are honored by the responsibility of maintaining her legacy and working in her name to advance the creative humanities.”
Ready to Get Involved?
Honoring the legacy of May Swenson, USU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences is set to re-develop the site of Swenson’s original childhood home to create a gathering place that will enhance the creative arts. The new structure aims to build bridges between the campus and nearby Logan neighborhoods, as well as foster understanding among diverse communities of thought.
May Swenson gained international success and acclaim as a progressive thinker who forged her own way, but as it is clear from her work, her family and Cache Valley roots were sincerely important to her as well.
Please join private donors among May Swenson’s family and the Cache Valley community, USU’s Department of English, and USU’s College of Humanities and Social Sciences to make this vision a reality. Any donated amount will make a difference.
