Hubbard Family Scholarship

Award Amount: $7,500
The Hubbard Family Scholarship is open to all students attending Utah State University. Preference will be given to students who have demonstrated interest and ability in the field of creative writing (in memory of Grant Hubbard Redford and Gwennie Hubbard Redford) and to students who have demonstrated interest in, and commitment to, the protection of the Earth's ecosystems.  
Requirements:

  • Must be taking at least 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Must have an interest in creative writing and/or the environment.
  • Must be a US citizen. 
Award Details: The award will be split between semesters ($3,750 each).

Charles and Rae Perkins Scholarship

Award Amount: $5,000
The Perkins Scholarship was created in 2011 to support students in attaining their academic goals. Its founders, Charles and Rae Perkins, were from Brigham City and strong supporters of Utah State University. Students from the Brigham area are especially encouraged to apply.
Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must have a major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must be taking at least 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Award Details: The award will be split between semesters ($2,500 each).
 

The Seely-Hinckley Scholarship

Award Amount: Full tuition
The primary aim of this award is to provide scholarships at Utah State University for students of superior attainment who otherwise would be unable to attend, or who would be delayed in attending the University. This scholarship is awarded through the President's Office based on recommendation from the Dean of the College.
Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must have a major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must be taking at least 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Must be an undergraduate student.
  • Must be a US citizen.
Award Details: This award will be split between semesters.

Jessie and Jared
Richards Scholarship

Award Amount: $750
The Richards Scholarship is for students who are interested in researching issues of domestic violence, intimate partner violence and underprivileged and underrepresented populations.
Requirements:

  • Must have major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must have an interest in pursuing research, policy, activism or other activities around domestic violence and intimate partner violence.
  • Must have a commitment to working with underprivileged and underrepresented populations.
  • Must have financial need.

John C. Allen Global Leadership Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000 
Preference is given to students from a rural background who articulate how their CHaSS education will positively impact their career and others in an increasingly global community.
Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA 3.5
  • Must have a major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must be taking at least 9 credit hours per semester.
  • Must be an upper level undergraduate student (60+ semester hours).
  • Preference given to those from a rural background.
Award Details: This award will be split between semesters ($500 each).

Seibert Family Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,500
Income from the Seibert Scholarship shall provide scholarships to students from any major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences with preference given to  students from outside the state of Utah.
Requirements:

  • Minimum High School GPA 2.7; USU cumulative GPA 3.25 
  • Must be taking at least 15 credit hours per semester.
  • Must include a resume with application and a 500-word maximum essay detailing financial need, leadership/service experience and goals. Also include how you are a dedicated Aggie fan, and how you will "pay it forward" to future Aggies.
Award Details: This award will be split between semesters ($1,250 each).
 

Ray L. and Eloise Hoopes Lillywhite University Scholarship

Award Amount: $2,000
The Ray L. and Eloise Hoopes Lillywhite University Scholarship is for undergraduate students who demonstrate merit and need. Typically, they should be upper-division full-time students. Lillywhite Scholars should be enrolled for both Fall and Spring terms.
Requirements:

    • Minimum GPA 3.0
    • Must be taking at least 12 credit hours per semester.
    • Must be an undergraduate student, preference given to juniors and seniors
    • Must be a US citizen.
Award DetailsStudent should be enrolled for both the Fall and Spring semesters. This award will be split between semesters ($1,000 each).

Dr. Mehdi Heravi Logan High Scholarship

Award Amount: $1,000
The award is available to undergraduate students from a low-income family who graduated from Logan High School. The award can help pay for tuition and fees.
Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must have graduated from Logan High School.
  • Must be taking at least 12 credit hours per semester. 
  • Must have a major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen.

 

Award Details: This award will be split between semesters ($500 each).

 

 
 

CHaSS Scholarships

Award Amount: $1,000
The scholarship is awarded from private donations from various alumni and friends of the College and is based on available funding and need.
Requirements:

  • Minimum GPA 3.0
  • Must be taking a minimum of 12 credit hours per semester.
  • Must have a major within the College of Humanities and Social Sciences.
  • Must be an undergraduate.
Award Details: This award will be split between semesters ($500 each).
