Biography
Claudia is a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Sociology. Her research interests include the way women negotiate cultural definitions of femininity and motherhood. She holds a B.A. in Anthropology from Universidad de Los Andes in Colombia, and a M.Sc. in Communication from the University of Louisiana. Her professional experience includes working for the advertising and marketing industry as a consumer researcher. Her publications and conference papers explore topics of consumer culture, qualitative research, migration, and gender. She is currently working with Dr. Erin Hofmann.
