Casey Trout is a master’s student in the Department of Environment & Society. Her current research focuses on outdoor recreation policy and management in Utah. She received her bachelor’s from USU with a dual major in Environmental Studies and Statistics in May 2019. During her undergrad, Casey worked with CANRI’s Dr. Courtney Flint on the Wellbeing Across Utah Communities project as a Research Assistant. After graduating with her bachelor’s and before beginning her master’s work in summer 2022, Casey worked with Dr. Flint as a Research Associate and Data Analyst on the Wellbeing Across Utah Communities project and Social Ecology of Rivers project. Specifically, she assisted with survey data collection and producing graphs and reports for the wellbeing project and data collection, geospatial analysis, and mapping for the rivers project.
