CHaSS Graduate Student Funding Opportunities & Resources

Graduate students, whether masters or doctoral students, occupy important roles in CHaSS research projects. Faculty mentors and graduate students are encouraged to meet with their departmental graduate program coordinators as well as the Associate Dean for Graduate Studies, Dr. Rebecca Walton, to discuss funding opportunities.

J. Ratcliff Prize for Graduate Studies (Graduate Student Travel Award - American West Connection) opportunity

Graduate Research and Creative Opportunity (GRCO)
GRCO provides $1000 to support original research, scholarship, or creative work by USU graduate students with the guidance of a faculty member.

Graduate Enhancement Awards (GEA)
USUSA Graduate Enhancement Award supports outstanding graduate students at USU who have a consistent track record of excellence in academics.

Presidential Doctoral Research Fellowship (PDRF)
The PDRF program provides USU’s most driven and dedicated graduate students opportunities to connect with top researchers, administrators, and leaders.

Center for Intersectional Gender Studies and Research Graduate Fellowship (CIGSR)
The Center aims to support a graduate student with teaching, research or community engagement interests in the field of intersectional gender studies.

Graduate Student Travel Award
The Graduate Student Travel Award promotes student involvement and professional development by partially funding a student’s travel and/or registration costs

Graduate Student Proposal Writing Seminar
The Graduate Student Proposal Writing Seminar provides opportunities for graduate students to learn about grant-writing.
