New faculty video: Comm Studies' Nicole Allen on the symbolism of calendars

 Dr. Nicole Allen is a new assistant professor of communcation studies within the Department of Languages, Philosophy and Communication Studies.

She comes to USU after a year-long assignment as a visiting assistant professor at St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., where she taught classes including "Globalism and Rhetoric" and "Organization and Business Communication.".

She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Nebrasks-Lincoln with a dissertation titled "Temporalizing the Nation: Chronos, Rhetoric and Nation Building.".

A native of Montana, Allen earned her master's and bachelor's degrees from the University of Montana.
