After graduating and getting married on the same day in May 2021, Peter Taylor and his spouse moved to Denver so Peter could complete a dual master’s in public health and social work with a certificate in climate and disaster resilience. Originally from Boise, Peter, who earned his BASW from Utah State, now lives in Portland, Oregon, and works as a mental health therapist and crisis counselor. Since finishing grad school, he has enjoyed getting reacquainted with his favorite hobbies: reading for fun, hiking, training for triathlons, traveling, and making music.

What I love the most about my current job are the relationships I develop with coworkers and clients, and how I get to put the theories I learned in school to practical use.

My younger self should have listened when other people told him not to make life more complicated than it needed to be. The more time and effort I spent trying to do all the things that interested me, the more exhausted and burnt out I felt. It's much better to put only the most important things first.

And speaking of important things, my favorite Aggie Ice Cream flavor is Huckleberry.
